In the Reloaded version of my blog, I'll write about Iran, its nuclear program, its culture, and most importantly, myself.

Last-Ditch

BBC Persian reports that the Iranian and Russian negotiators have reached a deal to keep the matter within IAEA. This will definitely add to the perplexity of the situation in the next IAEA meeting on Monday.

Update1: See Bloomberg's video interview with Paul Ingram.
Update2: The perplexity has already started: Iran and EU inched toward possible compromise.

Hi Amir,

Do you know if the same BBC Persian article is available in English language?

Thanks
Hugo

Hello Hugo,

Thanks for stopping by. The answer is NO! And it is not very untypical of BBC-Persian to have an article that is not reflected in BBC-English. A very important example, in my opinion, is an interview with Jack Straw that was conducted by Sadeq Saba for BBC-Persian. (Transcript). Sadeq Saba asks: ".. when you ask Iran to stop enriching uranium, is this only a temporary measure? For a few years? Until when?" Straw answers: "The period that was being talked about, when Dr Rahani was there, was between five and ten years."

This point was never published anywhere in the English media. This sort of points are either designed for Iranian audiences only, or not very important in the eyes of people from the rest of the world.
