Iranian-American Student Abused by UCLA UCPD with taser gun

An Iranian-American UCLA student was tased by UCPD. Read the full coverage of the story here.

Since the video footage starts after the arrival of the police, I can't comment on whether what the student did was right or wrong, but tasering someone and asking him to stand up, and tasering him again because he couldn't do so is "abuse of power". Specially when he repeats several times that "I said I would leave".

PS. Watch the UCLA TV coverage and the comments by the Chief of Police. I just noticed that one of the officers asks other students to "Get back, ... or you'll get tased too.". This is also abuse of power.

The hammer story



True, if one has a hammer, all problems look like nails. The real trouble begins when one thinks that the hammer might be the right solution for headaches too.
